Storytime at the library

There are few things greater in life than a stack of books and a quite place to read, except maybe storytime with Jane and Lillian. For those of you who haven't had a chance to join the preschoolers during storytime let me share the "normal" routine...They begin by picking apples from the name tree, singing a song and then comes Lillian. Lillain was, in another life, a stuffed lion that Jane has destuffed and made into a puppet that joins her and the children every week with little bits of trivia or a small poem, sometimes even a treat all prepared by Jane a week ahead of time. Today, with a much smaller than normal group, it was even more evident how attached the children have gotten to Lillian when they called for her to join them, and sang her songs, with very little persuasion from Jane. You would have thought the room had its normal 20 or so kids.

If you are ever in the area, and of course have a preschooler or two in tow, come and visit with Jane and Lillian on Friday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30 and you can see for yourself the magic that is spun.
